A 2013 study showed that in boys with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, an 8-week training in mindfulness, significantly reduced hyperactive behaviours and improved concentration.
Kids who have been meditating tend to be, in general happier and more resilient, say experts. They are more connected, more compassionate and respectful of the people and the world around them.
Meditation or yoga classes tend to be in small groups and can work even during school days, scheduled twice or thrice a week. Ideally, starting with a short workshop and then easing them into a regular course works better.
Communication
Research has found that children who speak more than one language have better memories and problem-solving skills. Science
Many children can benefit with some extra hours being tutored in Science. This is because topics that may not be covered in detail can be explained better with Science coaching. Also new concepts and practical implications are not often covered in regular school curriculum.
Expert science tutors instil interest in children. They can foster a lifelong fondness for science and help overcome the challenges kids face with science subjects like Chemistry, Physics and Maths.
The pace of learning may vary between children. Those who take a little extra time to grasp concepts, benefit tremendously with science workshops or monthly chemistry classes.

Children who make time to pursue art not only experience the satisfaction of self-expression but also learn to think in myriad ways. They seem to find answers to problems by themselves and in very unique ways than regular kids. This goes for any art be it drawing, painting, sketching, sculpting, or journaling.
It is also a great way to learn about cultures different from our own, the history of a country and helps understand humanity in all its diversity. This eventually fosters better communication at a later stage in one’s professional life.
