About Course

Telugu is a Dravidian language predominantly spoken in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It is also spoken by significant communities in neighboring states and diaspora communities around the world. Being able to speak Telugu involves mastering pronunciation, intonation, and fluency.

    • Telugu has its own script, which is an abugida (syllabic writing system) known as "Telugu script" or "Telugu lipi."
    • The script is written from left to right and is used to write the Telugu language.
    • Telugu has a rich phonetic inventory with vowels, consonants, and diphthongs.
    • Vowel sounds include short and long vowels, and there are both voiced and voiceless consonants.
    • Telugu has a unique set of retroflex consonants, which are produced with the tongue curled back.
    • Telugu grammar is characterized by agglutination, where suffixes are added to the root words to convey various grammatical and semantic meanings.
    • The language follows a subject-object-verb word order.
    • Telugu has a system of noun cases to indicate relationships between words in a sentence.
